Google Your Content – Often!

Yes. I found yet another one. This one made me chuckle however as I decided to search upon this text from my front page:

Today, before someone will buy from you, it is almost certain that they will attempt to research your name on the internet.

What the search on that lead me to, just made me think,

“WHY in the word would someone copy THAT statement from my content, and publish it on a website as their own? Do they not think ‘I’ would research and catch it, LOL?”

Well, I did and here are my findings:

Stolen content - DANAE

Thia took the a combination of my about us page, and my home page and republished it as her home/about page.

Stolen content - DANAE

She created her Web Design page content by copying the text located in the Word of Mouth information box on my front page, and the left side from the first information box on the front page.

Stolen content - DANAE

She took my text from my Logo Design page, and republished as her own work. Also under her Other Graphic Design, she copied and semi-adapted from my Template Design description on my services page.

Come’on designers – you are ‘creators’ – can you not come up with your own verbiage to sell your services?

I wonder how her business, since it will be known that researching her will come up with me, and the fact that she plagiarized content, will be once I hit publish on this…

A Humble Apology From Jose

I just received an email from José at E-Studio Creativo apologizing for plagiarizing my Freelance Tips.

We apologize for having published the contents, it has been a mistake of novice and not recur. I understand his position and see nothing but posted on his blog that it was completely copied what retired from the publication.

A hug and forgive the inconvenience.

I replied that I understood that he was unaware that it was copied in the first place, and asked that he simply remove the article from his blog. As of a few minutes ago, the post was removed.

Thanks José for taking care of the issue!

Translate and Post? Would It Be OK With You?

As stated last week, when I find content from my site being used on the web without my permission I will be posting it to my blog.

Once again, from my much loved Mint Stats, I found another instance of my freelancing tips being reposted in Spanish:

My Freelance Tips In Spanish – But With No Permission

It is flattering that someone would rewrite my Freelancing Tips in Spanish for those who speak the language, but I don’t find it something that is ok to do without asking permission from me – or even just ask me to repost in a translated version that THEY provide to me.

My tips are a very popular page on my site, and even have shared them on the web already when permission was requested, and proper credit was given so I guess that it why I wanted to post this:
